In the space of a few days Jesus went from an adored Messianic figure to a beaten, mocked, and crucified "King of Israel

What we know from scripture is that the world will not continue as it is. There will be an ending.

These people honour me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me. They worship me in vain; their teachings are merely human rules.
